Cembra is included in the following sustainability indices, among others:

  • In January 2023, Cembra was selected for the 2023 Bloomberg Gender Equality Index® for the third time, as one of about 400 companies worldwide. 
  • Since May 2022, Cembra is a constituent of the MSCI ESG Leaders 2022 Indexes.


Cembra has been assigned several sustainability ratings and is regularly being assessed by major sustainability agencies.

  • In February 2023, S&P Global’s Corporate Sustainability Assessment score for Cembra was increased to 46 points (2021: 43 points), and Cembra ranks in the Top 9% (2021: Top 19%) of companies in the peer group by S&P Global

  • In May 2022, MSCI ESG upgraded the rating on Cembra to AAA (from A). Cembra ranks best in the worldwide MSCI ESG peer group.

  • In May 2022, Sustainalytics confirmed their “Low ESG risk” rating on Cembra with a Score of 16.2. Cembra ranks in the Top 13% of all companies in the Global Universe of Sustainalytics.

  • In November 2021, Dow Jones Sustainability/S&P Global’s rating score for Cembra was 43 points (2022: 44 points), and Cembra ranks in the Top 19% of companies in the Dow Jones Sustainability/S&P Global peer group.

Since 2020, Cembra is a participant of the UN Global Compact (www.unglobalcompact.org) a strategic initiative of the United Nations that commit more than 11,000 companies worldwide to aligning their business activities and strategies with 10 universally accepted principles covering human rights, labor standards, environmental protection and anti-corruption.
