Cembra is included in the following sustainability indices, among others:

  • In January 2022, Cembra was selected for the 2022 Bloomberg Gender Equality Index® as one of about 400 companies worldwide. 
  • Cembra is included in the SXI Switzerland Sustainability 25 Index by SIX Swiss Exchange.


Cembra has been assigned several sustainability ratings and is regularly being assessed by major sustainability agencies.

  • In May 2022, Sustainalytics confirmed their “Low ESG risk” rating on Cembra with a Score of 16.2. Cembra ranks in the Top 13% of all companies in the Global Universe of Sustainalytics.

  • In November 2021, Dow Jones Sustainability/S&P Global’s rating score for Cembra was 43 points (2022: 44 points), and Cembra ranks in the Top 19% of companies in the Dow Jones Sustainability/S&P Global peer group.

  • In April 2020, MSCI ESG upgraded the rating on Cembra to A (from BBB). Cembra ranks in the Top 36% of companies in the MSCI ESG peer group.

Since 2020, Cembra is a participant of the UN Global Compact (www.unglobalcompact.org) a strategic initiative of the United Nations that commit more than 11,000 companies worldwide to aligning their business activities and strategies with 10 universally accepted principles covering human rights, labor standards, environmental protection and anti-corruption.
